EMPLOYMENT NOTICE

The Southwest Educational Development Center is presently accepting applications for the position of Regional Technology Trainer for the 2006-2007 contract year. This will be an eleven-month contract (229 working days) beginning July 3. A current Utah teaching certificate with a technology background and educational experience is preferred.

SEDC is located in Cedar City, Utah, and provides educational services to Iron, Washington, Kane, Garfield, Beaver and Millard County School Districts.

Responsibilities include conducting classroom integration training workshops with an emphasis on providing teachers in the SEDC Region with professional development programs that are based on the Utah State Office of Education’s state core standards, successful integration models, optimum learning environments and training for all levels of educators, with on-going support and follow-up. The trainer will also support Utah Educational Network programs.  This person must be a personable, strong team player.

BEGINNING SALARY: $43,000 with full benefit package
