


WIRING ORDER AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR 10/100/1000BASE-T CAT-6

- Strip about 1 1/2 inches of the outer insulation from the end of the Cat-6 Cable.
- Cut and remove the plastic X from the center of the wire bundle. (Cat-6 only.)
- Straiten and flatten the wires in the correct order. (Normally the standard order.)
- Holding all wires tightly together cut the ends off at about 1" so they end in a strait row.
- Hold the modular plug with the lock flange facing away and the copper at the top.
- Insert flat wire group from left to right into the bottom of modular plug.
- Push bundle in as far as possible. (Copper ends should be visible from bottom out end.)
- Insert into Crimper and cycle the action.
Use a crossover cable to connect two machines together without a hub or switch.
* Used in Gigabit but not used in 10/100 Mbps connections.
